Mead St. News is a non-profit news source based in Racine, WI – aiming to provide a free, accessible news source for Racine Residents.

Mead St. News acknowledges the difficulties in residents’ every-day lives and aims to provide a source for information to simply “tie together the loose ends”.

While Racine does have its own newspaper, the founders of Mead St. News recognize the need for information about Racine, WI to become more accessible not only throughout the city itself but in the midwest.

We have experienced ourselves the difficulty in viewing information regarding Racine and wish to bring in material from a variety of sources to better inform residents of issues in their community and also to inform members of other communities in the midwest about the conditions, economic and social, in Racine, WI.
